Post 5 Computers in the Workplace

Computers play a massive role in the healthcare industry. This is because they have been steadily overhauling all sides of the field, from basic administrative tasks to improving diagnostic capabilities or even completely changing how remote healthcare works. I have no personal experience in this field; however, my mother both works with computers in this industry and also uses computers for her remote healthcare because she is handicapped, so I hear a lot about it every time I talk to her. Due to this fact, I am still lacking when it comes to my knowledge of this subject, so I will need to do more research for the Information Technology Blog final.

Computer literacy is important in almost any kind of industry; however, it is extremely important in the healthcare industry because of how computers are replacing most written processes and changing how doctors can interact with patients. More and more hospitals are adopting electronic health records (EHRs), so this requires healthcare professionals to be proficient with computers to ensure a smooth process with patients. In the next 10 years, the use of AI will be used more in the healthcare industry. It is already seeing use today and is being pushed and trialed to do even more work in this industry. The use of AI will help healthcare professionals diagnose patients better and more quickly. AI can also be used to personalize medicine for its patients much quicker than a doctor could prescribe it, due to how fast and efficiently it can go through a patient's records and detect patterns or concerns.
